Grateful for the Gifts in My Life

In the past few days I've noticed a lot of God's gracious gifts in my life...here's just a few of them...

* A mother-in-law who doesn't mind changing diapers, mopping bathroom floors, and dusting ceiling fans while I take an afternoon nap.

* A husband who gets up in the morning with the toddler so I can "sleep in" with the baby, then makes me a cup of hot tea, a plate of cantaloupe and Pillsbury flaky biscuits for breakfast. All before he goes to work at 8am to support our family.

* A toddler who loves his little brother so much he's willing to let Nathan suck on his finger just like Mommy lets Nathan suck on hers. (No matter that John shoves his finger so far down Nathan's throat that Nathan starts coughing - it's the thought that counts.) And is willing to share his whistles from Ms. Patti even though Nathan can't figure out how to blow them yet...

* A baby who is learning that being set down in a pumpkin seat or swing is not torture and doesn't require innate screaming. One who is nursing like crazy, growing like a weed, smiling at mommy, cooing at daddy, and doesn't appear to be turning yellow like his brother did at this age.

* An extended family that loves to Sykpe with us and watch our kids grow even if it is at a distance. A family that is growing immensely with four weddings on the horizons and a baby due any day.

* A roof over our head, money in the bank, laughter and love in our hearts...

Blessings are all around...
